Smalls, 1 month later

The picture on the left is when we first got her on May 3rd, 7 1/2 weeks. The picture on the right is almost 1 month later, 11 1/2 weeks. I think she has grown a little bit. The picture doesn't really show her growth to much. Her face looks different, besides for the bald spot on the top of her head. She had some gunk in her hair that wasn't coming out, so we cut it out. ;( I think she looks kind of cute, but funny as well. I can't believe how fast her hair grows. Her facial and head hair is driving me crazy! Its way to long for me, but the rest of her is still fine. I think I need to find a groomer and soon!

I have to say that she has been such a great addition to our family. Despite the fact that she cost more than I would ever spend on a pet, I think she is well worth it. Her personality has come out over the past couple weeks. She is so funny and playful. I love it when she greets me at the door and wants me to play with her. She has definitely brought me some joy! and I think I love her.

MeMe's Mound

I am 24 weeks along (I think that translates to 5 1/2 months) and I don't think I am that big...yet. Don't mind the facial expression, I wasn't ready for the photo. The pregnancy is going pretty well so far with a few minor interruptions of itchy hands and hemi flare ups! I have chosen not to put a picture of my hemi on here. I will save you the pain of looking at this "lime-a" bean sized hemi. But if anyone would like to let me borrow their "donut" to sit on, I would appreciate it!!

My name is "SMALLS"

This is the newest member of the Dowd Clan. Smalls is her name. She is a Mini Shih Tzu. She is about 8 weeks old and weighs next to nothing.

We have made this cage for our dog to sleep in because we didn't want it to poop all around the house, all night long. So...I get up this morning and went to get smalls out of her cage. As I was walking into the front room, I notice there is poop on the floor!! I go to her "cage" and she wasn't there. She escaped! She pooped 3 different times around the house. Two on the carpet, one on the tile! Thank goodness for windex! Works every time. Any tips for potty training a dog? I've never done it before and have no idea what I am doing! Anything will help!

Child birthing class

So....I'm new to this whole birthing experience. I've been trying to decide whether or not to go to a child birthing class. Tucker thinks its a waste of time, but I think it could be good to know about. There is a part of me that thinks that as well but I'm just not quite sure what to do.

This is why I have come to you all. What do you guys think about child birthing classes? Good, bad, helpful, stupid? What??

Sweet Nothings

My sister-in-law, you know who are you, says I need to update more often. I told her I have nothing to write about. So I thought I would just write a little about sweet nothings. So my hands have been itching for the last few weeks, the top of my hands that is. And I had little red bumps on them. I really didn't think anything of it, just thought it was a pregnancy thing. Then I go to the doctor and she says its exoma(sorry I don't know how to spell that) and give me cream. And sure enough its gone...well almost. I've never had that in my life, so I guess it was a pregnancy thing. No more itching hands. Also about being pregnant and having my belly 'expand', my garment top doesnt fit over it anymore. It drives me nuts because I keep pulling it down but it keep rolling back up. Im sure in a few months it won't be anywhere near staying down as it does now. Anyway, just a random fact.
So here at my office, the landlords are moving in upstairs. Pretty exciting! They are crazy and I know they will be watching our every move. Annoying!! The whole building is against them moving in. but what can ya do? Also my neighbor love to hack. He does it allllll day long.
If anyone has any advice about how to raise a kid I would love to hear it. Any remides, advice, things that work better than others. I would love to hear anything.
On the home front, Tucker is still faithfully looking for a job. Nothing yet, but we are hoping soon. He had a second interview up in Hanford, we should be hearing back from that in a week or so.
Well you all know that my life is pretty borning and I really don't do much except work and watch reality TV shows. So yeah I don't have anything else to write.
